(599) October 15, 2011: A Slick Nostalgic Trap

A SLICK NOSTALGIC TRAP

The semi-modern sliding doors

And plastic fruit arrange the day

    To fit their measured cabernet

As if to settle ancient scores

That don't pertain to me.

The place where I was born is not

The place that's dotted on the map

But just a slick nostalgic trap

To pull me down and keep me caught

Inside a memory.
